The Position The Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) is seeking an experienced, proactive leader to serve as the district’s next Associate Superintendent, Human Resources. As one of the largest employers in the City of Santa Ana, the district provides job opportunities to more than 5000 employees across the region. The mission of the Human Resources team is to be responsive to employee needs, establish a bridge to other departments, and provide quality customer service.

Requirements / Qualifications

Leadership Attributes Successful candidates must demonstrate a track record of success in the following areas: • Planning, organizing and directing complex personnel functions and labor relations. • Creating universal hiring and staffing procedures. • Preparing and presenting detailed data analyses, recommendations, and conclusions. • Using sound judgement in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. • Creating a professional work environment that motivates employees to do their best and become more competent at it. • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across the District. • Assessing risks and planning ways to mitigate it. • Adapting and evolving to meet the needs of changing environments. • Approaching the work through a customer-oriented lens.
