Job Summary

Scripps Ranch High School has one full time (1.0 FTE), 10 month position to fill. The Senior Aerospace Science Instructor is assigned within the Scripps Ranch High School Air Force JROTC program. The Senior Aerospace Science Instructor is directed by the Principal and Vice Principal to properly instruct cadets and manage the JROTC unit in accordance with military regulations and district policies and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

Ability to obtain JROTC Credential. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher, and must be certified by the United States Air Force JROTC Headquarters and meet eligibility requirements established by the sponsor military service in accordance with public law. Must be a retired Air Force Major thru Colonel with no less than 20 years of service and meet body fat requirements. Achieve a passing score on the CBEST within 1 year and PE CSET exams within 4 years with satisfactory progress. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
