The Instructional Aide's primary responsibility is to assist classroom in the conduct of lessons and other classroom activities.
Requirements / Qualifications
This is a one-on-one support position for a special education student. Brief Description of Position: 1. Assist in the preparation and presentation of educational lessons, materials, and activities to students in a one-on-one or group setting. 2. Assists in monitoring pupils in the classroom, on field trips, and other activities. 3. Demonstrates a positive working relationship with all students. 4. Brings personal and educational needs of students to the classroom teacher's attention. 5. Cooperates and communicates with other school staff, public, parents, and students to promote a positive school climate. 6. Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Graduate from high school or equivalent; 48 units of college level coursework; AA Degree or Certificate of Completion for NCLB requirements. 2. Ability to read, write, and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the assigned duties. 3. Ability to communicate with and effectively supervise students. 4. Ability to accept directions and carry out oral and written instructions. 5. Ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with others.
