Job Summary
Lodi Christian School (LCS) is a Preschool & K – 8 school. The Mission of Lodi Christian School is to be the “Center of Excellence” in promoting spiritual growth in an environment of high academic standards. LCS believes this is best accomplished through Christ-centered curriculum and traditionally successful teaching methods. The LCS Teacher, at the direction of the Principal, shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. The LCS Teacher also furthers the school’s religious mission. They will be required to answer basic questions about the school’s faith, provide religious resources, and/or minister with prayer with parents, staff, and others. The Teacher reports to the Principal and any authorities directed by the principal.

Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their child’s education and assist them in the task

Support the administration and Board in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school

Utilize valid teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals

Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social and emotional

Utilize lesson plans in the course of developing and realizing learning goals

Evaluate of student academic and spiritual growth

Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student’s progress

Address parent concerns at the classroom and school level

Maintain a positive learning environment both spiritually and academically

Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher

Maintain regular communication with parents, administrator, students and office
-
Cultivate lasting relationships with students, staff, parents and the community

Participation in devotions and prayer time

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
