Substitute position on an on-call basis. Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Services Director I, the manager substitute responsible for and in charge of a school cafeteria. To administer the Child Nutrition Services paperwork and be able to perform all CNS I and II duties if needed. To be able to perform all phases of food preparation, help serve and sell a variety of foods in various quantities. Manage student site information and point of sale system/register. To do other related work as assigned. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: May perform any combination of the following: • Responsible for paperwork on point of sales reconciliation and monies, along with run Point of service system computer register. • Communicate with CNS Director I and site administration • Responsible for and must be able to cook, bake, and prepare large quantities of food • Help prepare, serve, and sell meals and snacks • Responsible for prepping meals and snacks at the site for multiple sites if needed • Inventory all kitchen and CNS items • Meet schedules and timelines • Prepare menu production sheets, breakout issue sheets, inventory reports, requisition appropriate amount of food, supplies, and materials • Keep food preparation and storage area clean at all times • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with students, staff, and co-workers EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: • At least two years experience in quantity food preparation and service, including some supervisory duties • Graduate of high school or equivalent supplemented by courses in menu planning, quantity cooking, safety and sanitation, nutrition, and other related areas. • Offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of pre-placement medical examination, including drug testing, and fingerprint clearance • Have good personal hygiene and maintain a clean appearance • Have no communicable dis
