The mission of Gabriella Charter Schools is to join academic rigor with the creativity of dance to engage the hearts and minds of young people in underserved communities, empowering them to excel both inside and outside the classroom. Gabriella Charter Schools is composed of two high-performing, dance-themed charter schools in the Los Angeles community. GCS 1 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Echo Park. GCS 2 serves grades TK-8 and is located in the community of Historic South Central. Job Summary

The School Counselor is responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care and counseling to assigned students. The School Counselor will provide consultation services to key stakeholders – including parents, administrators, teachers, and staff – to support the socio-emotional development of specific students and the student body as a whole. They will play a key role in building and maintaining a positive culture and will act as the case manager for students identified with high behavioral needs.
