Qualifications: •Commitment to and understanding of collaborative roles in CHIME classrooms •Commitment to co-teaching practices and parity between general and special educators •Commitment to the school vision and mission Responsibilities: •Participate in common grade level planning to develop matched lesson plans that maintain continuity within each grade level •Partner with a special or general educator to implement a co-teaching model including co-planning, co-assessment and co-instruction •Consciously work to ensure parity of roles with general and special educators •Collaborate with parents and other team members to plan and implement an individualized program that meets the needs of each student •Provide assessment of student progress, maintain student records, and communicate student progress to parents •Maintain confidentiality regarding individual student information and needs •Evaluate classroom performance to meet the changing needs of students •Provide an effective classroom environment that reflects and facilitates the academic program •Collaborate with other team members to promote shared vision and ownership, including opportunities for observation, peer feedback, team teaching, and communication with other team members •Provide for open communication with all members of the school community •Adapt materials and modify curriculum to ensure equal access for all student •Other duties as appropriate to the specific position Contact Information Mail: CHIME Institute’s Schwarzenegger Community School 19722 Collier Street Woodland Hills, CA 91364 Kathy Jamison, Middle School Principal Email: kjamison@chimeinstitute.org
