The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) serves our county’s most vulnerable students, and supports school leaders, teachers, and students across the county. We support nearly 780? schools and more than 500,000 students, including the 2,020 children we educate each year through our Juvenile Court and Community Schools. SDCOE provides a variety of services for the 42 school districts, 131 charter schools, and five community college districts in the county. SDCOE is recruiting for an Executive Leadership Coach in the Multilingual Education and Global Achievement (MEGA) & Equity department of the Learning and Leadership Services Division. Principal experience to support Dual Language Programs and bilingual Spanish required. The Executive Leadership Coach creates, develops, implements, assists and supports county-wide instructional leadership services within district systems, SDCOE leadership institutes and administrator credentialing programs, and school leadership coaching; coordinates and provides school improvement services across county and Region 9; and responds to the changing needs of the districts served by SDCOE. The Multilingual Education and Global Achievement (MEGA) department addresses the limitless potential of our students who are learning a new language. The team builds the capacity of district/ site leaders, and teachers to build assets-based learning environments and implement quality instruction through parent and community engagement, state and federal accountability technical assistance, professional networks, and a variety of thoughtfully, designed professional learning opportunities. The Learning and Leadership Services division works diligently to assist the 42 school districts in our county to provide the best possible education for all of our students. Requirements / Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience: 4 yrs of increasingly responsible administrative leadership experience in K-12 ed setting, including school-site principal exp. Must include effective instructional leadership resulted in improvement of teaching & learning; analyzing student achievement data & identifying patterns, trends to improve teaching/learning; development, implementation, & delivery of high quality professional development; teaching & leadership in variety of ed settings in high poverty/performing schools; & effective coaching of K-12 teachers and/or administrators. Education: MA degree in Education, Education Administration, or related area, including coursework in instructional leadership and/or organizational change. Equivalency: Any combination equivalent to MA degree in Education, Education Administration, or related area, including coursework in instructional leadership and/or organizational change; and 4 years of increasingly responsible administrative leadership exp. in a K-12 educational setting including school-site principal exp. Experience must include effective instructional leadership that resulted in the improvement of teaching and learning; analyzing student achievement data & identifying patterns & trends to improve teaching & learning; development, implementation, & delivery of high quality professional development; teaching & leadership in variety of ed settings, particularly in high poverty, high performing schools; & effective coaching of K-12 teachers and/or administrators. Additional experience requirement: Experience coaching leaders & educators to identify & interrupt behaviors & practices that harm historically underrepresented students & communities; & experience creating safe & culturally responsive learning environments required. Bilingual Spanish required.

Valid CA Administrative Services Credential, valid CA Teaching Credential, and Driver's License
