The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Career Technical Education (CTE) Instructor - Information and Communications Technologies for Juvenile Court and Community Schools. The current opportunity is located at 37ECB, in East County, San Diego. The selected individual would teach in-person and online to all independent study students.
The Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) provides a fully accredited educational program for school-age youth who are either wards of the court or have been referred by social services, probation, or one of the 42 school districts in San Diego County. Services are provided to incarcerated youth, pregnant minors, foster youth, expelled teens, and chronically truant youth, students in drug treatment centers and group homes for neglected or abused children, and homeless youth.
CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Designated Subjects Teaching credential authorizing service in the appropriate content area being taught.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent verification
EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must be able to verify three years (3,000 hours) of professional work experience in Information and Communications Technologies, with at least one year of hands-on experience and recency of one year in the last five years, or two years within the last 10 years
