Requirements / Qualifications
Pursuant to the State Public Health Officer Order of August 11, 2021 affecting all tk-12 public and private school employees, all El Dorado County Office of Education employees and substitutes are required to either provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing. The El Dorado County Office of Education and our participating school districts greatly appreciate your interest in the Classified Substitute Pool. Please note that all EDCOE Classified Substitute pool positions are on call, as needed and substitutes are at will employees. This pool or list is used to temporarily fill classified vacancies, or provide additional support to programs. Due to Merit System rules and regulations, the Classified Sub Pool is not used to fill permanent EDCOE positions. Purpose Statements: Under the direction of an on-site administrator and the District School Nurse, the Health Clerk staffs the School Nurse Office; administers basic first aid; dispenses medications and screens ill or injured students in accordance with state laws and established regulations and procedures; assists in the prevention, early detection, and correction of health-related problems; prepares and maintains a variety of records, files, and reports. The following districts participate in the EDCOE Classified Substitute Pool: • Black Oak Mine Unified School District • Buckeye Union School District • Camino Union School District • El Dorado County Office of Education • El Dorado Union High School District • Gold Oak Union School District • Latrobe School District • Mother Lode Union School District • Pioneer Union School District • Placerville Union School District • Pollock Pines School District • Rescue Union School District • Silver Fork School District
