- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years experience in a field which involves translation or interpretation for the public and/or minority communities and a thorough knowledge of cultural nuances of providing accurate educational information in languages other than English to the community.
Licences and other Requirements:
Valid California drivers license

Must pass bilingual proficiency test
Must be "Highly Qualified" (NCLB Compliant) having a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
- 2 years of study equal to 48 units
-Associates or higher degree
-Ability to pass the instructional aide proficiency test
Bilingual Proficiency Test and Instructional Aide Proficiency Test Information:
- Must pass the Instructional Aide and Punjabi Proficiency Exam with a minimum score of 70% on each section.
- Pre-registration is required at Central Unified Human Resources office Room 9, 5652 W. Gettysburg Fresno, CA 93722. Tests are $10.00, cash only and exact change please. The next testing date is Friday, October 1, 2021 @ 2:00 p.m. at Central Unified School District, Room 9. Please allow up to 3 hours for this test. Candidates must register no later than 3:00 pm the day prior to testing.
- Please be aware that Central Unified School District may not have a testing date within the job posting period.
- The Bilingual Proficiency test is required for this position, unless applicant has an advanced degree in the Punjabi language(proof of test date and/or advanced degree must be uploaded).
