Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. California Child Development Teacher Permit preferred.
3. Child development experience preferred.
4. Knowledge of open classroom and diagnostic teaching.
5. Able to team teach.
6. Active involvement with parents and community.
7. Spanish bilingual preferred but not required.
8. Knowledge and understanding of child development.

Responsibilities:

1.  Provide an educational and developmentally appropriate program for children.
2. Supervise paraprofessionals, students and volunteers.
3. Organize parent involvement activities.
4. Determine and assess skills and knowledge of children using materials and assessment tools.
5. Input and analyze data based upon the assessments.
6. Handle other duties as assigned by site supervisor.
