The position of Permit Teacher, Migrant Head Start, is for the purpose/s of facilitating preschool student success in developmental and interpersonal skills by implementing curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of preschool students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

***Please be advised that this position is located in El Centro, approximately 160 miles from Riverside*** POSITION DESCRIPTION: The position of Permit Teacher, Migrant Head Start, is for the purpose/s of facilitating preschool student success in developmental and interpersonal skills by implementing curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of preschool students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. These documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, physical (if required), proof of required education, TB, Fingerprint clearance, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required as per Public Health Order. RCOE will engage in an interactive process for new hires with valid medical or religious exemption requests as related to the COVID-19 vaccination. The following document must be attached to your Ed-Join application prior to the position closing date/time: •Two (2) Letters of Reference/Recommendation (Must be dated within the last 2 years) •Letter of Introduction (Must specifically reference the position for which you have applied) •Current Resume •Valid California Children’s Center/Child Development Teacher Permit authorizing instruction in a child development center program. (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Child Development Teacher Permit. EXPERIENCE: Completion of 175 days of experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program; working at least three hours per day within the last four years is required and must be verified. (This experience may include paid and/or volunteer work.) EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field is preferred.
