Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), under the supervision of the Director of Special Education and a credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), follows and implements specialized speech and language instruction and services for students who have disorders of language and speech which includes hearing, voice, pragmatics/social communication, expressive/receptive language and fluency, as directed by the credentialed SLP; assists in screenings without interpretation; consults and collaborates with teachers and parents regarding strategies which enable access to and progress in the general education curriculum.
