Job Summary
The School Nurse provides individual health care to ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; is responsible for providing health information; and serves as a resource to teachers, staff and administration in identifying health problems and treatment recommendations.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Valid Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution; • Valid California School Nurse Credential and/or valid California Registered Nurse License with the ability to apply for the California School Nurse Credential upon employment; • Valid CPR/First Aid Certification; • Valid Driver’s License.
NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Ed-Join online application (all fields must be filled in); • Current resume; • Copy of Baccalaureate degree transcripts; • Copy of valid California School Nurse Credential and/or valid California Registered Nurse License with the ability to apply for the California School nurse Credential, upon employment; • Copy of valid CPR/First Aid Certification • One (1) current letter of reference (dated within the last three years).
