Job Summary

Job Summary

The San Benito County Office of Education seeks a Special Education Teacher - RSP (Mild / Moderate) to be a part of a dynamic regional special education department that is a crucial component to supporting the districts in our county. The RSP teacher will work under the direction of the Director of Special Services and/or Coordinator of Special Education, and site administration. The RSP teacher will be assigned to serve students enrolled in the SBCOE alternative schools, grades 7th -12th and our rural schools. The special education teacher- RSP serves and the educational leader for the students with IEPs using a collaborative pull out/push in model. The service model is a highly individualized program designed to meet the needs of the students. The educational emphasis at the SBCOE alternative schools is literacy and credit recovery with a school wide positive behavioral emphasis and effective problem-solving through communication with others.
