About the Employer

The Merced County Office of Education assists Merced County’s 20 school districts through support and oversight of curriculum and instruction, alternative education, business services, early education, technology, migrant education, special education, and teacher credentialing. MCOE is led by the elected Merced County Superintendent of Schools and governed by the Merced County Board of Education. While serving as a focal point to facilitate local school/government/community partnerships, MCOE is responsible for the fiscal oversight of each school district in Merced County, hears appeals for student expulsion hearings and interdistrict transfers and operates Green Meadows Outdoor School.

DMV H-6 printout Official Transcripts SUMMARY: Under general direction of the assigned supervisor, the Network Analyst – Senior installs, configures and administers servers for an assigned network enabling network service and function governing data communications/telecommunications and formulation among personal computers. Oversees and troubleshoots server performance, backup schedules and hardware/software compatibility issues. Participates in advanced technical support and help functions and provides support to users, other technology staff and districts in the areas of desktop, network and telecommunications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires an Associate’s Degree in computer science or related technical field and three (3) years of experience in either network operations, network administration, database design and administration, or personal computer support. Additional related experience may substitute for educational requirements. Requires specific experience in the implementation and on-going support of integrated local area networks or server administration. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: * Requires a valid California driver’s license. * DMV Driver Record printout. * Requires satisfactory results from pre-employment strength test.
