Under the direction of the assigned Administrator, the nurse plans and provides certain identified health services associated with Student Programs and Services for Alameda County Office of Education. Read job description for additional information.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience: B.A. or B.S degree from an accredited college or university - Required Master’s Degree in Science Nursing or related health field preferred. Valid Registered Nurse in the State of California - Required Valid California School Nurse Services Credential or be eligible for a Preliminary School Nurse Services Credential at time of hire.** -Required Public Health Nurse Certificate Required or willing to Obtain California School Audiometrist Certificate Required or willing to Obtain Spanish Bilingual Preferred Valid CPR & 1st Aid Certification -Required Valid State of California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record - Required Experience working with pregnant and parenting teens Experience working with infants/toddlers with special needs Knowledge of disabilities of physically and neurologically handicapped infants and toddlers Experience to analyze situations and implement effective solutions, incorporate medical recommendations into daily practice, prepare accurate reports, and have effective oral and written communication.
