Job Summary

Under the immediate supervision of the site administrator, provide an educational program for students that includes planning, organizing and implementation of an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants for the Santa Cruz County substitute teaching list must: - Hold, or be eligible to apply for, a document that authorizes services as a substitute with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). - Provide proof of negative TB - Have fingerprint clearance on file with the Santa Cruz COE - Complete Santa Cruz County Substitute Registration Forms and other required documentation

Minimum eligibility requirements to apply for a substitute teaching permit: - Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. - Verification of the basic skills requirement as outlined by the CTC. - Fingerprint clearance in file with the CTC
