OVERVIEW: San Diego Unified School District, the second largest district in California and one of the top largest urban school districts in the United States, is seeking a District Community School Coordinator. BASIC FUNCTION: The District Community Schools Coordinator will coordinate and provide leadership and direction to site community school coordinators, administrators, and school teams in the establishment and development of community schools as it relates to the defined program pillars and structures. Evaluate and supervise the work of assigned staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to a master’s degree, seven years of experience working with students and families in the TK-12 educational system or with organizations that serve school communities, and experience in establishment of community partnerships to support the development of comprehensive school systems and structures. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license. PLEASE NOTE: For Certificated Management Only: Possession of Administrative Services Credential or willingness to concurrently earn this credential through participation in an administrative internship credential program while in the assignment. An administrative certificate, credential, permit, or proof of eligibility for an administrative intern permit from an approved university must be on file with the Human Resource Services Division prior to starting the assignment.
