Fax: (209) 874-3721 JOB DESCRIPTION Computer Technician / Classroom Aide QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent and experience in working with children. 2. Satisfactory completion of the District employee’s minimum competency test. 3. Experience in and knowledge of computers to include computer software and hardware, Instructional technology, troubleshooting, and navigating the Internet. REPORTS TO: Co-Directors / Director of Technology / Superintendent JOB GOAL: To assist the Director of Technology and the Hickman Charter School staff with their online educational programs and basic troubleshooting for all electronic devices used on campus. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a number of online educational platforms including, but not limited to, Accelerated Reader, iReady, ST Math, LexiaCore, Reflex Math. Provide a proficient level of troubleshooting with day-to-day technology issues. These duties may include assistance with Newline Smartboards, connectivity issues, error messages, and offer teacher/parent training when needed. Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials or skills via computer technology. Provide students with opportunities for enrichment via instructional technology. Coordinate lessons and schedules with teachers Perform other related duties as required. Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of all employees. WORK YEAR 181 Work Days per year Paid in column F of Classified Salary Schedule. Sick leave: 10 days per year. EVALUATION: The performance of this position will be evaluated annually.
