Requirements / Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Tutoring experience a plus, and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students in preferred.
Special Education competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. Must apply on EdJoin and upload attachments named exactly as stated (ie. Letter of Recommendation) in order to be considered for this position.

The candidate for these Instructional Aide positions will have an understanding of students with special needs with a minimum of first aide training prior to beginning of employment. The candidates will work 1:1 with a student and guide him/her in instructional practices, curriculum, outside activities, physical education, electives and recess. Candidates must be patient, kind, friendly, observant, able to keep good documentation, and collaborate with teachers and parent.
