Our center is a non-profit, play and learning - based program strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia We are currently looking for a full-time Preschool Lead Teacher to join our small mixed preschool classroom. Hours are from 8:30-5:30 Monday – Friday (hours vary based on enrollment and attendance) (some Saturdays are required for events, trainings, etc.) THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR WILL: Have an understanding of child development and a strong belief in play-based learning. Able to perform best practices Create an open, friendly, nurturing and cooperative atmosphere where parents and children feel comfortable and secure. Be a Team Player Be able to document and assess children’s growth, adapt the curriculum to the children’s needs and be able to communicate this information in a variety of ways. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 2 years of early childhood teaching experience with Preschool ages. ECE Infant/Toddler and Preschool Certification Associates degree in Early Childhood or higher preferred, but not required Benefits are discussed during the interviews.
