Atascadero Unified School District 5601 West Mall, Atascadero, CA 93422 Job Opportunity IN-HOUSE CANDIDATES WILL BE GIVEN FIRST CONSIDERATION DATE: August 12, 2021 POSITIONS: BEHAVIOR SUPPORT SPECIALIST (BSS) FAA SALARY: Range 27 (Step A – $17.18 to Step F- $21.92) Sick Leave, Vacation Pay & CalPERS Retirement. Eligible for various pro-rated health, dental and vision insurance benefits. HOURS: 6.5 hours per school day / Monday thru Friday QUALIFICATIONS: Complete job description available at the District Office High school graduation required. Any combination of training, education and experience equivalent to an AA Degree from a college or university. Two years of experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum, Down syndrome, multiple disabilities, and/or intellectual disabilities. (Pre-K through 12; teaching, volunteering, coaching, mentoring, etc.). Experience in collecting data and writing short narrative reports. Compliance with No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Must pass DOJ fingerprint clearance. TB clearance required prior to working. Current CPR/First Aid Certificate. Valid California Driver License.
