Course description for Medical Terminology
Learn medical language, terms and abbreviations associated with the human body systems that are necessary for persons entering medical office occupations. This course is a prerequisite for the Medical Billing and Coding program and strongly recommended for all students in the Pharmacy Tech Training and Clinical Medical Assistant Training programs.
Assignment: Medical Coding and Billing
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6 pm - 9 pm 09/07/21 to 12/16/21
Course description for Medical Coding and Billing
This class will familiarize the student with the process of billing insurance companies such as Medicare, Medi-Cal and Blue Cross as well as the collection process. The course includes preparation of CMS-1500 claim forms and the full use of the Medisoft program.
