Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, as assigned by the High School Principal, the Athletic Trainer is a paramedical specialist in sports medicine. The Athletic Trainer provides assistance to student athletes in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

Requirements / Qualifications

Interested applicants: -District application -Résumé or Summary of Experience -Copy of all required Certifications -Three (3) Letters of Recommendation

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: -Any combination of education and experience equivalent to: two (2) years college-level course work in physical education, athletic training, or a related field -One (1) year of experience involving the care, management, and prevention of athletic injuries, desired Required Licenses/Certificates: -Valid certification for First Aid* -Valid certification CPR* -Valid certification in Concussion in Sports* -Valid certification in Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)* -Valid certification in Fundamentals of Coaching (CIF-mandated)* -National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Certification* *Recertification to maintain current/valid status is a condition of employment -Valid California Driver’s License **District paid medical, dental, and vision prescription plans are provided for employee and dependents.
