Job Summary

This is an open and promotional recruitment to establish an eligibility list to fill vacant positions for the 2021 - 2022 school year. The eligibility list will be used to fill any vacancies which may occur within a period of one year, or until the eligibility list is depleted. Salary Range: $17.80 - $21.61 Hourly The current positions in this classification are grant funded. Employment is subject to continuation and renewal of grant funding on a year-to-year basis, which may not be extended after the 2021 - 2022 school year. Community Liaison positions work 10 months per year at a school site; typical positions are 8 hours per day and require fluent bilingual skills in Spanish. The recruitment process will consist of a training and experience examination, a structured interview, and a bilingual assessment. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the principal, perform a variety of clerical duties and work as a liaison to coordinate and implement family involvement in students’ educational programs and school site activities; assist in the coordination of student testing, research and acquire a broad array of community resources to support instructional programming; and facilitate positive family, school, and student relationships.

ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year general clerical experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Some positions in this class may be required to speak, read and/or write in a designated second language as assigned by the position.
