Bay Area Technology School (BayTech) is a tuition free college prep public charter school in East Oakland. Our mission is to infuse assistive technology throughout our school curriculum to provide a personalized educational experience for every student to be college and career ready. The "Tech" in BayTech is the use of software and technology to deliver an individualized education to meet each kids needs. BayTech is a small close-knit community emphasizing open communication between our teachers and parents & families to support students and share in their success. Job Summary
While the BayTech Board governs according to mandates of its charter petition, other applicable legal requirements, board by-laws and policies, the Executive Director/Superintendent manages the overall operations of BayTech within such parameters. As such, the Executive Director/Superintendent is responsible (with the assistance of the administrative team and the support of third-party consultants and vendors as needed) for those duties as specified in the charter petition, as well as those duties as directed by the Board of Directors or in Board policy or in Board By-Laws, or in the employment contract.
