Job Summary

Virtual Academy has one full-time, 10-month art teacher position available. The Virtual Academy is an online magnet school that is a part of the iHigh Independent Study Program. Instruction will take place online and teachers will report to designated district site. Staff are required to provide on-site learning opportunities, extracurricular activities, and special in-person events with students throughout the year. Staff members will also be a part of PLCs dedicated to online learning.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have or be qualified to obtain a valid California single subject art credential. Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting. Experience teaching art online is preferred. Holding more than one credential is also preferred. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
