The Dorris-Eaton School, a private, independent, day school is seeking a full-time preschool teacher for our Alamo campus. Our preschool opens the door to the world of learning with strong instructional principles and a proven record. We see preschool as a prime time to build on a child’s fascination with the world and to develop a strong academic and social/emotional foundation for a successful educational journey. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience along with the required 12 Early Childhood Education units. Additionally, candidates will have: · A love for children and a passion for teaching as well as significant knowledge of child development, early childhood educational theory, and best practices. · Interest in collaborating with a team of professional teachers to create a unique and engaging educational experience; nurturing the emotional and social development of each child; ensuring the campus is safe and well maintained; and complying with the regulations of Community Care Licensing. · A sense of humor.
