We serve 1,330 Napa and American Canyon youth every day after school at our Napa Clubhouse, American Canyon Clubhouse, Club 1515 Teen Center, and eight additional school-based locations.

Under the supervision of the assigned Site/Unit Director, this position is responsible for implementing & supervising the delivery of a broad range of youth programs within a designated Clubhouse, such as Education, Leadership, Recreation, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education. Capable of independently supervising large groups, up to 20-25 youth in a recreation setting, both indoors and outdoors, with youth safety as a top priority.

Prepare Youth for Success:
- Ensure a fun, healthy and safe youth-friendly environment, ensuring facilities, grounds, equipment and supplies are clean and well maintained.
- Promote and stimulate program participation.
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Effectively plan, implement and actively supervise programs, services and activities for members.
- Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the site at all times.
- Assist in the management of the program area and ensure a clean and productive work environment, maintaining inventory and organization of all program equipment and supplies as requested.
Supervision:
- Ability to independently supervise large groups, up to 20-25 youth in a recreation setting, both indoors and outdoors, with youth safety as a top priority.
- Recognize and react quickly to problems – arguing, fighting, horseplay, etc – and stop the undesirable activity quickly.
- Complete accident or incident reports when appropriate, according to company procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- May participate in special programs and/or events as requested by management.
- May be required to participate in the organization and maintenance of program equipment and facility.
- Participate regularly in site staff meetings.
- Attend trainings offered through BGCNV or partner agencies as requested by immediate supervisor.
- Appropriately communicate concerns or issues with Site/Unit Director as they arise.
- Assist in the operation of daily Child Nutrition Program (CACFP, SFSP) by supervising participants, assisting in snack service, assuring snack service is compliant with program regulations, maintaining daily snack program documentation when needed, and attending Child Nutrition Program trainings annually and as needed.
Credential Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED (Associate’s Degree highly preferred).
Must be able to meet minimum qualification of school district Instructional Aide as set forth by NVUSD. - Pre-employment Tuberculosis and Livescan screenings required.
- Must be willing to completed COVID-19 Vaccination(s.)
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
