THE POSITION: The Chief Academic Officer (CAO) shall plan, organize, direct, and manage the functions and activities of the educational services area within the office. This position requires expertise and mastery in services delivered by Educational Services and comprehensive, directly related, and progressive administrative experience. Knowledge is applied to providing organizational leadership, policy development, and the development of goals, objectives, and priorities across all divisions.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Seven or more years of comprehensive, directly related, and progressive experience in curriculum and instruction. Work successfully as a principal in at least two different schools or districts. Worked as a district office level administrator directly responsible for the supervision of instruction of multiple schools. EDUCATION: Equivalent to a Master’s degree in education or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Possess and maintain a valid California Supervisory or Administrative credential. (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing website with the document number on it.)
