Job Summary

Under direction of a Maintenance Supervisor, performs skilled work in repairing and maintaining refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency. Experience: One of the following: Two years of journey-level glazier or closely related experience. Completion of a recognized glazier or closely related apprenticeship program. Two years of full-time semi-skilled glazier or closely related work and completion of a certificate of achievement in a related field from a recognized college or trade school. Four years of full-time semi-skilled glazier or closely related work. Special: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License. Evidence of adequate insurance for a motor vehicle which meets the California legal liability insurance requirement and continual insurance coverage during employment. Federal law requires that employees receive additional ACBM training if they work in areas in which asbestos building materials may be disturbed. This training is provided by the District within the first 60 days of employment. Successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination.
