Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned administrator, perform a variety of technical duties involved in the purchasing of supplies, materials and equipment for the District or an assigned department; research and obtain related pricing and product information; monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of assigned items.
Requirements / Qualifications
POSITION AVAILABLE: PURCHASING TECHNICIAN 6 hours-12 months (8 am – 3 pm) BUSINESS SERVICES DEPARTMENT QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience involving purchasing functions. 2. Perform a variety of technical duties involved in purchasing supplies, materials and equipment. 3. Research and evaluate vendors and other sources of supply. 4. Obtain quotes and confer with vendors concerning price, specifications, product information, availability, delivery, and other matters. 5. Ensure the smooth and timely delivery of goods. 6. Meet schedules and deadlines. 7. Operate a variety of office equipment, computers and software. 8. Serve as technical resource and assistance to District personnel concerning purchasing function. 9. Prepare process and distribute purchase orders; develop forms and documents; prepare reports and files. BEGINNING DATE: 2021-22 School Year – AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SALARY: CLASSIFIED SALARY SCHEDULE – RANGE 35 Step 1 -$21.49 Step 2 -$22.57 Step 3 -$23.69 Step 4 -$24.88 Step 5 -$26.12 APPLICATION PROCEDURE: A complete application packet must include: 1.
