PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs variety of administrative duties specific to school setting as assigned by principal Works with parents, community groups and organizations to meet student needs Acts as temporary head of building in absence of principal Implements policies and procedures related to student behavior, campus control and school security; assists principal with student discipline including processing of referrals, maintaining related records and preparing required reports Provides leadership in planning and implementing instructional inservice activities for staff; demonstratesteaching methods and techniques Assists teachers in development of successful teaching strategies Works with teachers to help analyze and improve instructional practices (i.e., coaching cycle) Monitors school curriculum to ensure implementation to state standards and appropriateness for student population Assists in developing classroom management strategies Provides resource assistance and information to staff on curriculum issues, assists staff in selection of appropriate supplementary instructional materials and implements coaching cycle Supervises registration, classification, placement, scheduling and testing of students Performs other related duties as assigned
