Job Summary
Job Summary
Directly responsible to the Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor. Under the direction of the Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor, performs Journeyman-level mechanical and HVAC specialized work involving the installation, maintenance, repair and alterations of various District HVAC and refrigeration systems in order to provide a safe and orderly environment for students and staff. Performs other related work as directed.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE Required: - A minimum of three (3) years experience performing Journeyman-level, commercial HVAC work Desired: - Prior employment as an HVAC technician in a school district EDUCATION Required: - High School Diploma or equivalent DOCUMENTS Required: - Possession of a valid California Drivers License - DMV Printout (showing No Vehicle Code moving violation within the last 12 months) - Valid EPA Refrigeration Certification

A combination of written and hands-on tests may be administered to secure the best qualified applicants.
Applications will be screened. Applicants who pass the initial screening will be invited to take the written test which is tentatively scheduled to take place Wednesday, 9/22/2021. Qualified applicants will be selected to participate in the hands-on testing process, date to be determined. Those who are deemed best qualified at the conclusion of all required testing will be scheduled for an interview.
