Qualifications: Associate of Arts Degree or higher or successful completion of NCLB Paraprofessional Certification prior to first day of employment required. Training in Language Arts/Reading is desirable. Supervision or leadership in youth activities, first aid and CPR certification desired. All new hires must complete Department of Justice fingerprint clearance prior to the first day of employment at a cost of $62 to the employee. Individuals who serve in this position are required to participate in an annual training program on mandated reporting, and an annual training program on the prevention of contagious diseases through blood-borne pathogens.
