School Social Worker Family Resource Centers- One Position Annual Salary Range: $78,696-$117,920 Traditional 197 Day Calendar LBUSD Student Support Services Division is accepting applications for the position of Family Resource Center Social Worker. Long Beach Unified School District is the fourth largest district in the State of California, serving a diverse student population. The Family Resource Center School Social Worker (SSW) works to promote academic achievement and lifelong success for students by facilitating social, emotional and behavioral health-related support to students within a cluster of 26 schools in LBUSD, and partner with families on connecting to community and school-based services. The Family Resource Center School Social Worker (SSW) will provide individual and group social, emotional and behavioral support to students and families. The FRC SW will also provide various forms of support for families including workshops, consultation, community referrals for social services. Duties will include conducting home visits, school visits and community engagement and outreach activities. FRC SW will also support school staff with professional development and consultation and serve as an internship supervisor, which will oversee School Social Work Interns annually.
Requirements / Qualifications
Requirements: *Hold Master’s Degree or higher (MSW) in Social Work or related field (LCSW highly desirable) *Hold and maintain a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential - School Social Worker *Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation as the position supports schools across the school district
