Job Summary

School Steps, an Invo Company, is hiring a Registered Nurse in Sacramento County, CA. We take pride in our in-school services. One of the most important roles we offer to schools is School Nursing. School Nurses are professional nurses who specialize in creating a safe environment for students in schools, allowing them to achieve academic success and intervene when potential health issues arise.

Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing?

Appropriate State license?

School Nurse credential preferred or preliminary credential is?required?

CPR and first aid certified and have capability to administer first aid when needed?

Current knowledge and skill in administration of medication?in accordance with?state law?

Ability to adjust to varied situations, demands, and new health issues?

Current knowledge and skill in administration of medication?in accordance with?state law?

Ability to?demonstrate?safe nursing care, reflecting the philosophy, purpose and standard of current law

Ability to?demonstrate?adequate knowledge of both normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, psycho/social and disease entities?

Ability to work under pressure and?be entrusted?with confidential and sensitive information?

Work cooperatively with administrators, other school nurses, volunteers, staff members and the community in selected health services activities?
