This position is being flown for California Heritage YouthBuild Academy located in Redding, CA.(Shasta County) Drivers/Support Staff are primarily responsible for transporting students to/from school and to/from appointments using a school vehicle. A general Class C drivers license is required. Our largest vehicle can transport 7 people at a time. Many of our students and families are vehicle insecure. Our drivers help eliminate the barrier of getting to school and other important appointments and therefore help maintain and encourage consistent school attendance. Our drivers are the first link in a long chain that supports our students. This position requires the ability to work closely with our Attendance Specialist on a daily basis to coordinate transportation. We are seeking an individuals with a student centered mindset. Drivers/Support Staff also assist with coordinating our daily meal pickups, cafeteria management and supervision of the student population during recess/breaks, upkeep of fleet maintenance, and help with purchasing/organizing facility supplies.
