Monday through Friday 4.0 hours per day IN ORDER TO GAIN MORE HOURS, this position may be cobbled with currently advertised Playground Monitor and/or Courier positions. Basic Function
The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting pupils of the district over an assigned route to and from school and on approved field trips and special trips. This position may have variable hours from year to year.
Essential Function and Tasks
1. Complies with regulations and laws set forth by the Department of Education and the California Highway Patrol relating to pupil transportation. Is knowledgeable and reviews the district's "Driver's Handbook."
2. Safely drives a diesel or gas school bus over a designated route in conformity with an established time schedule.
3. Maintains proper discipline of pupils on the bus.
4. Assists in maintaining the bus and equipment in clean and safe condition, including sweeping the bus daily, washing the exterior as needed and maintaining windows in clean condition at all times.
5. Completes necessary daily inspection as required by the State Department of Education and the California Highway Patrol.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator, Transportation Supervisor or the Superintendent.

- Certification (CHP for School Bus Driving; current)
- Driver's License Copy (Current)
- Letter of Introduction (Signature required)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two issued within the last three years; signature required)
