Job Summary
1. To coordinate the daily operations of the School in compliance with state licensing and comply with applicable law and regulations. 2. To direct the work of others when applicable. 3. To establish the facility’s policy, program and budget. 4. To maintain financial records and school records. 5. To be a floating teacher when necessary. 6. To recruit, employ, train and evaluate qualified staff, and terminate employment of staff, if applicable to the facility. 7. To provide input in the selection, implementation and review of curriculum, equipment and resources. 8. To provide leadership, support and vision to the Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool. 9. To facilitate the development of school-wide vision, goal setting and positive school culture. 10. To correspond to Tzu Chi Philosophy of Humanity and Chinese culture. 11. To initiate opportunities for communication between parents, students, teachers, and all other school stakeholders. 12. To manage and direct safe school programs including emergency operations and student discipline. 13. To develop and implement relevant and meaningful professional development for instructional personnel. 14. To consistently supervise the implementation of the Tzu Chi Bilingual/Character Education curriculum and guide teaching staff to ensure a quality program. 15. To develop and implement relevant and meaningful professional development for instructional personnel. 16. To guide and encourage the activities of parents and Tzu Chi volunteers. 17. To maintain a professional relationship with all volunteers. 18. To develop and distribute monthly newsletters and yearly calendars. 19. To maintain the highest enrollment capacity and plan ongoing marketing strategies in the community. 20. To be in compliance with Tzu Chi dress code policy. 21. Requirements / Qualifications
Job Requirements: Administration/Teaching in Early Childhood Education. Certificates: Pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR, First Aid certificate and 15 hours of health and safety training, and Food Manager Certificate. Licenses: Texas Director Credential Required Degree: CDA or higher degree Major: Early Childhood Ed or Ed Admin. with 3-semester units in Admin or staff relations and 2 years of teaching experiences in a licensed group Child Care Center. At least 2 years of operations experiences as a supervisor or office manager in a childcare setting, or worked as an assistant or sub for assistant director to manage the school. Language: Fluent in Mandarin/English(writing, reading, speaking) Software: MS Office
