Job Summary

The SDCOE is recruiting for a walk-on head volleyball coach in North County, San Diego. The position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in volleyball. This assignment is subject to and contingent upon district, local, and/or state public health guidelines. In the event that the season is cut short or canceled entirely, the coaching stipend will be prorated based on the amount of the season that was completed.

Requirements / Qualifications

The following are requirements for the position: • High School Diploma • American Red Cross/American Heart Association CPR and first-aid certification (or approved higher certification) required before starting work. • Prior coaching experience coaching volleyball is highly preferred • California Driver's License and evidence of insurability The head coach stipend is $2,808.00 to be paid after the completion of the full-term.

It is important to note to become a substitute/limited-term employee, there will be a fingerprinting requirement that currently costs $77 (this is an up-front, out-of-pocket cost that must be paid in the form of a money order or cashier’s check). In addition, if you apply and are selected for a permanent position at any point there would be an additional $77 cost (currently) for fingerprinting as a permanent employee (taken out of your first regular paycheck).
