Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with courses in general office procedures, bookkeeping, and computer entry and one year of responsible office/clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skill in operating a personal computer, various printers, fax machines, and other office equipment is necessary. Working knowledge of using Google Suite programs. Two years clerical experience or Instructional Aide experience in a school setting is preferred.
Competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. Must apply through EdJoin and upload the required documents named exactly as stated (ie. Letter of Recommendation) in order to be considered for this position.

Under the direction of the Director, this position supports Learning Center high school and I CAN Math teachers in performing a wide variety of duties. Tasks will include maintaining a variety of files and records and personally collecting the required information to ensure student records stay accurate. The Clerk may compose simple or routine letters independently and assist with progress reports and other parent communication. The Clerk may be asked to pack, unpack, receive, shelve, and distribute supplies, audiovisual materials, and/or textbooks. Other tasks may include notifying parents or guardians when students have been absent and may have responsibility for attendance record keeping. The Clerk will regularly assist and work with teachers, students, parents, and staff and may have other assigned duties. See job description for list of duties and responsibilities.
