Requirements / Qualifications
General Description: Under supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director, teach the fundamentals of the specified activity; be responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of the specified activity. Requirements: A complete coaching packet must be submitted to Human Resources before the hiring process can be finalized. The coaching packet requirements include but are not limited to the following: - Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification - Current Tuberculosis Clearance - CTC Clearance - Online trainings (PLEASE NOTE: These items are only required if you are hired. They do not need to accompany your application.) Qualifications: Applicants must have demonstrated an exemplary history of modeling the following characteristics with stakeholder communities that include students, families, staff, and the extended community: - Displaying the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and professionalism, including using clean speech, at all times. - Having effective and consistent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the effective use of technology. - No discipline within the last five (5) years. - Successful experience safeguarding fiscal responsibility, preparing budgetary recommendations, monitoring, verifying and reconciling expenditures of budgeted funds. - Deep knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to the sport, the league rules, and CIF regulations. - Deep knowledge of skills, strategies, and safety procedures in the above-mentioned sport. - Deep knowledge of coaching theory and techniques in the above-mentioned sport. - CIF or playoff experience as an assistant or head coach. - Knowledge in working with a Booster organization and/or with ASB. - Minimum of five (5) years of High School wrestling coaching experience at any level. - Knowledge of A-G course requirements for Division 1 Athletes.
Ability To: - Positively lead and organize a team inclusive of parents, students, staff, and community. - Plan and organize practices; direct the activities of assistant coaches. - Teach and demonstrate methods/skills to players. - Supervise athletes while traveling to and from games, during practice and competition. - Develop and foster positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community. - Work with people in a constructive manner under stress. - Comply with school and district guidelines and meet all deadlines, including ASB and booster clubs. - Use basic computer skills and navigate software to access information.
