Job Summary
The Special Education Teacher/Coordinator will be a certificated special education teacher who splits their time between offering Specialized Academic Instruction (SAl) and coordinating our special education program, including writing IEPs and leading Individualized Education Plan meetings, doing academic testing and working with staff, parents and administration.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning required ? Possession of a valid preliminary or clear Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate) credential with EL Authorization required ? 2 years of successful and demonstrated case management skills required ? 2-5 years of successful, lead-teaching experience in Special Education required ? Knowledge of Sonoma SELPA special education policy, computer-based IEP programs (SEIS preferred)
