Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Two (2) years or 48 semester units of college-level course work; (attach transcripts) AND 2. Three (3) years of progressively responsible library experience; AND 3. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** SUBSTITUTIONS Substitutions for meeting the minimum qualifications are allowed, as follows: *College level coursework in a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement (on the basis of nine (9) semester units for one (1) year experience, up to a maximum of two (2) years) *Additional specialized experience that demonstrates the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above, may be substituted for the education (on a year for year basis up to a maximum of one (1) year)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use library automation systems, digital resources and other relevant productivity software in a library environment to produce documents 2. Familiarity with library technical processes such as acquisitions and cataloging 3. Prior experience in approaching work and interaction with colleagues and/or students in an equity-minded manner 4. Ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming work/education environment
