Christ Lutheran School in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a highly qualified kindergarten teacher with a passion for Christ who is able to engage students in a biblical worldview, while creating an academically challenging classroom experience. We are looking for individuals who strongly desire to teach in a kindergarten classroom. Primary Responsibilities: - Teach from a biblical worldview - Create weekly and long range lesson plans, while regularly assessing students to determine student learning needs - Participate in professional development activities - Integrate technology into teaching - Use various types of curriculum resources - Collaborate with colleagues - Regularly communicate with families REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS - A cover letter explaining your interest in Christian education and a summary of your experience in teaching in a self-contained classroom - Resume - Two current letters of recommendation (within 2 years) - Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Each classroom teacher of Christ Lutheran School must: - Seek to shape a Biblical Worldview into the lives of students and their families, in all aspects of the learning process and holds to the doctrines of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod - Recognize all students have the capacity for leadership and seeks to nurture, inspire and empower - Use a variety of effective 21st century instructional best practices and materials that will inspire students to be creative and collaborative - Have criminal history clearance Disclaimer: This description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of teaching assignments.
