East Nicolaus High School
A vacancy exists for a high school English instructor to serve students in grades 9-12. Following the State Content Standards and adopted District Course of Study. Ability to instruct technology classes desired.
JOE PROFILE: 7 hours per day; 5 days per week; Traditional Calendar
SALARY: $38,196 to $76,249 annually (placement on salary schedule is based on units and years of experience ($1500 stipend for Masters Degree). Includes benefit package for employee and eligible dependents for medical, dental, and vision.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implementing and integrating the East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District approved curriculum consistent with the unique needs the School District.
• Working collaboratively with the school district administration and teaching staff.
• Making effective use of curriculum materials, instructional supplies, equipment, building facilities, and school grounds.
• Developing class assignments for all students to encourage optimal learning.
• Developing and maintaining student records.
• Following established procedures for school disaster plans and fire drills.
• Developing organizational procedures consistent with the established policies of the East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District for the health, safety, discipline and conduct of the students.
• The ability to teach a foreign language is desirable but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must hold valid California teaching credential or proof of application.
• Must have recent successful teaching experience.
• Knowledge of current educational trends.
• Knowledge of behavioral management techniques.
• Ability to work with all students.
