The Director of Human Resources supports the planning and organization of a comprehensive human resources program. The Director shall plan, organize, and direct personnel programs and projects in the Human Resources Department, to include the areas of personnel staffing, assignments, transfers, employee record management, layoff functions, recruitment, selection, and training. The Director shall direct, manage, and supervise the Human Resources operational staff; provide human resource information, consultation, training, and dissemination of documentation and materials concerning personnel management programs and projects; assist in planning and directing activities, negotiating contracts, employer-employee relations and arriving at alternative solutions to program and project problems, issues, and concerns. The Director shall coordinate, monitor, and review programs and project services to ensure compliance with state and federal legal mandates, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to: workplace harassment and uniform complaint policy; ensure adherence to the collective bargaining agreements and Board Policies, and perform other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities also include direct and indirect supervision of professional, technical, and clerical personnel. The Director position requires specialized subject matter expertise in educational administration and personnel management trends and practices, in addition to administrative and supervisory experience.
This position is under the direction and reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
